How can we use Push notification Plugin available on Nuget packag with our own customize app server?

Hi Guys, could any one suggest me how i can use push notification Plugin which is available on Nu Get package to install, with our own customize server. I don't want to use any third party notification hub. I found some article where configuration of these plugin is done with azure notification hub to send notification. please suggest me the way I can implement push notification on cross platform devices using PCL.
