I am looking for some good suggestions, articles, examples, explanations, .... how to do this.
I am building an Xamarin Forms app supporting iOS, Android, and UWP apps running on tablets (possibly phones). The intent is that device will be in some kind of housing connected to an external handheld barcode scanner (like in some stores where cashiers use a handheld barcode scanner like this to scan what you want to buy [https://www.honeywellaidc.com/products/barcode-scanners/general-duty/xenon-1900g-1902g)
From my initial look, all I am finding is scanning with built in camera and zXing library but I dont want to use camera as it is slow.
