Hi all
Unfortunately, I have a vital problem.
I have updated my app (based on 1.4.4 stable) from WP 8.0 to WP 8.1 Silverlight.
After doing that, I had no problems to debug/deploy my app to the emulators and to the phone (device).
After testing the app, I wanted to update the package in the store and thereby had various problems (as with 8.1 a new file named package.appxmanifest is used and the relevant keys were not overtake properly). Further, there are some new images that have to be provided (there are some “empty” templates stored under the \Asset-folder that have to be replaced with “real” images).
I have edited the package.appxmanifest-file in editor, provided the new images, created the package once again and uploaded it to the store and the MS-check was passed.
After a few days, the package was provided to the MS-store (I was in holiday then).
As I was back today morning, I first have checked my Windows-Phone:
- the update was installed, but don’t work anymore (if the app is tapped, nothing happens)
- I’m further not able to debug / deploy the app to the emulator / the phone anymore
If I debug/deploy, the meaningful error-message “Package could not be registered” appears.
I have searched the Internet and tried any workaround I found, for about a full day now.
Checked the key’s, checked the images, removed and re added the new SplashScreen.png….
Nothing works!
Our already productive app in the store is broken now (worst case!) and I’ not able to work with the WP-project anymore…
I already have sent a mail to MS but not received an answer yet…
Can anyone help me here..?
